A major search and rescue operation is underway in Cork city for a man in his 20's.
The alarm was raised at around ten to five when the man was seen entering the River Lee from Patrick's bridge.
The Crosshaven coast guard unit and lifeboat were launched along with the Waterford Rescue helicopter which conducted an extensive night search and is continuing it's operation this morning.

Naval divers are due at the scene shortly.
They're focusing their efforts between the Brian Boru and Michael Collins bridge.
