A search is underway after a young boy went missing around the Cliffs of Moher.
The boy was last seen yesterday afternoon in the vicinity of the County Clare tourist attraction.
A Garda statement said multiple agencies are involved in the search.
“Yesterday afternoon, members of An Garda Síochána, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), the Irish Coast Guard, and local search and rescue services responded to a report that a young boy was missing in the vicinity of the Cliffs of Moher, Co. Clare,” they said.
“A coordinated search operation got underway and resumed this morning, Wednesday, 24th July 2024.”
They also noted that the search is currently paused due to poor weather conditions.
“Due to adverse weather conditions locally, the search remains paused at present,” Gardaí said.
“It is expected to recommence once weather conditions improve and it is safe to do so.”
