Police in Belfast investigating the murder of Jean Mc Conville in 1972 have arrested a second man (56). The PSNI says detectives from its serious crime branch made the arrest in west Belfast this morning.
Jean McConville was abducted from her home and murdered in 1972. In 2003, her body was found on a beach in County Louth.
She became known as one of the so-called 'Disappeared'.
The mother of 10 was abducted by the IRA at her west Belfast home in 1972, shot dead and secretly buried.
She was accused of passing information to the British Army - but those claims were rejected after an investigation by the Police Ombudsman in the North.
Last month Ivor Bell (77) from Andersonstown in west Belfast was charged in connection with the murder.
