A second man has appeared in court in connection with the death of 34-year-old Quham Babatunde this weekend. 

Mr Babatunde, who was in his 30s, was found unresponsive with serious injuries in the area around South Anne Street and Duke Lane Upper shortly in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He was brought to hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

This morning, Rory Carr of Ard na Gréine, Seapoint Lane in Balbriggan appeared in court charged with assaulting Mr Babatunde causing him harm.

The 21-year-old was also charged with assaulting a second man and violent disorder.

The court heard he is not working and an application was made for legal aid. 

There was no application for bail and Mr Carr was remanded in custody to appear in court until next week.

A second man was charged in connection with the incident yesterday, while a third remains in custody in the North.
