First she was fined for going on a train without a ticket and now Senator Fidelma Healy-Eames is in trouble again for not paying her car tax.

The Fine Gael Galway politician had her Mercedes seized during rush hour in Galway city last month for failing to display a current tax disc.

She has apologised for the incident saying she was planning to sell the vehicle as she was using public transport more and hence had forgotten to tax her car.

Reacting to news Taoiseach Enda Kenny told MidWest Radio Ms. Healy-Eames will be judged by the public on her actions when the next election comes around.
