A 53-year-old barrister has appeared in court charged with the murder of a father-of-four in Dublin earlier this week.
Diarmuid Phelan, a Senior Counsel, appeared before Tallaght District Court accused of the murder of Keith Conlon.
Mr Conlon was shot on farmland at Hazel Grove near Tallaght on Tuesday, before passing away yesterday afternoon.
Detective Garda Michael McGrath said Mr Phelan, of Kiltalown Lane in Tallaght, made no reply under caution.
Dressed in a black suit and white shirt, Mr Phelan did not address the court during his hearing.
Judge Patricia McNamara remanded Mr Phelan in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court via videolink on Friday, March 4th.
