class="MsoNormal">The Senior Helpline says it received over 10,000 calls from older people last year and calls this year are already up on that.

class="MsoNormal">Financial concerns, family worries, loneliness and security fears are among the issues that have older people looking for help.

class="MsoNormal">Third Age runs the service and is urging people to check up on elderly neighbours during the holiday period.

class="MsoNormal">The service says they can feel especially vulnerable if their neighbours are away.
