Seth MacFarlane the creator of the TV show “Family Guy” has been named as the host for the Oscars next year.

Organisers say his skills blend perfectly with their own ideas for making the show “entertaining and fresh.”

The Academy Awards will be handed out at the end of February.

Seth’s recent movie “Ted” earned $420 million at the box office.
