The Algerian Government meanwhile says it believes the death toll of 23 hostages will rise.

The standoff ended yesterday after Algerian troops stormed the complex - killing 32 militants.

British Prime Minister David Cameron says the attack is an example of the growing threat posed by Al-Qaeda linked militants in North Africa.
