Gardaí have seized seven guns in west Dublin.
The firearms were uncovered yesterday evening as part of an ongoing operation targeting serious organised criminal activity.
They have been sent to Garda National Technical Bureau to be forensically examined.
Assistant Garda Commissioner John O’Driscoll said: “The undertaking of this operation leading to the discovery of a significant quantity of firearms reflects An Garda Síochána's unrelenting efforts in tackling serious and organised crime and our determination to keep people safe from those who would use firearms to endanger life.”
No arrests have yet been made in relation to the seizure.
