Drivers on the M50 and parts of west Dublin should expect severe delays after a crash forced a road closure. 

The incident happened on the northbound side of the motorway at Blanchardstown. 

Emergency services have closed the M50 northbound J7 Lucan to J6 Blanchardstown, and diversions are in place. 

According to AA Ireland, the M50 southbound is tailing back from Junction 3. 

Dublin Airport has urged anyone travelling today to plan their route and check for Garda updates.
