Experts say we should begin talking to children about sex education at the age of 5.

Research from NUI Galway in 2014 shows that one-quarter of Irish teenagers are having sex.

But experts say the education system may not be preparing them properly.

And there are moves in the UK to introduce compulsory sex and relationship education at the age of 7.
