Trooper Shane Kearney landed safely at Casement Aerodrome in Dublin this afternoon, the Defence Forces have confirmed. 

The 23-year-old Corkman was injured in the attack that killed Private Seán Rooney in Lebanon last week. 

He will be taken to Beaumont Hospital for medical treatment.
