The runway at Shannon Airport has fully re-opened following an earlier incident.
It was closed for around an hour due to a technical issue with a light aircraft.
A number of planes were diverted to Cork Airport.
This included a Ryanair flight from Wroclaw and an Aer Lingus service from London Heathrow.
Passengers on the affected flights were transported by bus from Cork to Shannon.
Some departures were also cancelled.
Passengers are being advised to contact their airline for more information.
The airport said a process was undertaken to remove the light aircraft, which experienced technical difficulties on landing.
A clean-up of the area was also carried out.
"We would like to thank our team, the airport operators who assisted with this incident, and our passengers for their patience", airport management said.
Shannon Airport has now re-opened.
