On the 20th anniversary of Shane Duffy’s murder, Gardaí are appealing to the public to get in touch with information about his tragic death.
Mr Duffy had been socialising with family and friends at the Strand View Bar in Maghery, Donegal on January 28th 2005.
After the pub, he went to his mother's house in Meencross and then returned home in the early hours of Saturday 29th January.
The 36-year-old was attacked and fatally wounded in his home and his body was found later that afternoon.
Gardaí have said the solving of this murder is a "priority" for them.
"With the passage of time, some person may now be in a position to provide information to investigating Gardaí that they could not provide at the time," a Garda spokesperson said.
“Or maybe some person who did provide information at the time may be now in a position to provide further information.”
Anyone with information about the murder of Mr Duffy is urged to contact Gardaí.
