US superstar Taylor Swift kicks off the first of her concerts in Dublin tonight with an unlikely fan in attendance.
Around 165,000 fans, known as Swifties, are due to attend her record-breaking Era’s Tour shows at the Aviva Stadium over the next three nights.
Public Expenditure Minister and Eurogroup president Paschal Donohoe will be one of those Shaking It Off this weekend.
He told Newstalk Breakfast he's been hooked since she last performed here.
"I saw her perform the last time she was in Dublin," he said.
"I went to that gig, bringing family and thinking it would be mainly other people in the group who would enjoy the night.
"She was amazing and I've been lucky enough to lots of gigs over the years and I never saw anything like that.
"The moment I realised just how good Taylor Swift is is when I saw her perform."
Minister Donohue said all her fans are in for a treat.
"For all her fans, particularly young fans who've never seen her perform before, all their dreams are going to come true in Dublin".
"She really is that good.
"I think where the stamina come through as well is just in the breadth of her albums.
"Combining that with a tour of the world that is unbelievable in terms of the number of concerts she's doing".
Minister Donohoe revealed his favourite song by Taylor Swift is 'Exile', a duet with Bon Iver.
"I remember the first time I heard that song... I thought that was a beautiful piece of music," he said.
"I think it's pretty unlikely that's going to be played in Dublin over the next few nights - it is just a reminder that Taylor Swift is the leading artist of our era for many people across the world.
"The next few nights are going to be amazing here in Dublin".
'Taylor Swift Effect'
Minister Donohue said the economy is likely to be boosted by Taylor Swift along with all the other summer concerts.
"The number of gigs that have happened in Ireland over the last few weekends is just incredible," he said.
"From Pearl Jam, LCD Soundsystem to Taylor Swift and then we've Longitude happening this weekend as well," he added.
There won't be a Blank Space left in the capital with several other events taking place this weekend.
Other musicians taking to the stage include the legendary Shania Twain at the 3Arena, Villagers at Trinity College and The Saw Doctors at Leopardstown Racecourse.
Tens of thousands of people are also expected to make their way into Dublin City Centre on Saturday as Dublin Pride marks its 50th anniversary.
