As the thousands of homeless people in Ireland face into the darkness of winter, there’s never been a better time to step in and help.

Focus Ireland’s Shine A Light campaign offers people all over the country the chance to take concrete steps to turn the tide against homelessness in Ireland.

Each year, Shine A Light sees businesses, schools, and communities uniting against homelessness by sleeping out and raising much-needed funds.

Proudly sponsored by Bord Gáis Energy, this year’s event aims to raise €1.4 million for the thousands of individuals, children and families in Ireland without a home.

Ireland’s homelessness crisis has never been starker, with nearly 14,500 people accessing emergency accommodation in July – a figure that includes 4,401 children.

Shine A Light is your chance to move from concern to action and show your solidarity with each and every one of them.

You can support Shine A Light this Friday October 11th by organising a sleep-out in your school, workplace or community or by donating at shinealight.focusireland.ie.

People experiencing homelessness in Ireland often go unseen, without a place of safety to call their own.

Together we can show them that they are not forgotten.

Join Focus Ireland and Bord Gáis Energy this October 11th to Shine A Light on homelessness and raise vital funds for the some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
