A shopkeeper in the North has been speaking about the moment a suspected fire bomber ran out of his store in flames.
One of the shop's staff had to carry the device outside, after it ignited. It caused part of the city centre to be closed off for hours.
The incident happened just a few hundred yards from where a bomb exploded on Friday.
Golf store owner Nick Pierpoint thinks the incendiary bomb went off prematurely, underneath the man's jacket:
A series of recent security alerts in Belfast have been blamed on dissident republicans.
In a separate incident earlier in the day another device was found in West Belfast which was later made safe.
Officers are advising other businesses in the city centre to check for suspicious objects.
Leaders meet
The justice minister Alan Shatter and the Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan are to meet with their Northern Ireland counterparts later.
Chief Constable Matt Baggott and justice minister David Forde will discuss the security situation in the North at their meeting in Dublin this afternoon.
They will also discuss cross border police co-operation and the report of the Smithwick tribunal which found garda collusion in the murder of two senior RUC officers.
