Gardai are appealing for witnesses to an ATM robbery in Wexford. An explosive substance was used by three armed raiders to blow the machine from the wall at the Ulster Bank on Rafter Street in Enniscorthy at around 3:30am last night.
One of the thieves fired a shot at the uniformed gardaí while they were still in the patrol car, but no-one was injured.
The other two suspects were seen coming out of the bank.
A quantity of cash was taken and all three suspects fled the scene in a black estate car.
The area was sealed off this morning while gardaí carried out a technical examination. They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
