The incident happened in the Glenties Drive area of Finglas at approximately 10 o'clock.

A number of people were in the house at the time but no one was injured. The front door of the premises was damaged during the incident.

The scene remains sealed off this morning while Gardai carry out an investigation.

It's understood a high powered motorcycle was on the road at the time which Gardai believe may be linked.
