Over 4,000 visitors are set to descend on Dublin’s RDS with the return of Showcase – Ireland’s International Creative Expo®, which runs from February 27th to Wednesday, March 2nd.
Founded in 1976 by Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) and supported by Enterprise Ireland and the Local Enterprise Offices, Showcase is one of Ireland's largest international trade fairs with attendees from across Europe, the USA and beyond .
This year’s event will welcome 318 exhibitors from Ireland and abroad to present their 2022 collections across fashion, jewellery, home and giftware, generating an expected €20 million of sales orders across the four days.
Testament to the show’s importance, there is a wealth of returning exhibitors, who are joined by brands attending for the first time, ensuring a rich, fresh experience for all.
The live trade show has been postponed for the past two years, but this year it will take place both in-person and as a digital event.
Launching a new digital marketplace for 2022, Showcase Connect will give trade buyers 24/7 access to the exhibitors. Using the platform, they will be able to browse and save their favourite products and engage with exhibitors before, during and after the event.
Some of the trends expected across exhibitors include a heightened focus on sustainability, as well as a focus on the high quality of the products and the stories behind them – something the Irish craft scene is renowned for.
