Irish consumers love to get a bargain and last year spent €53 million online on daily deals websites.

Sites such as Groupon and City Deals offer discounts on items such as hotel stays, beauty treatments and restaurants.

While there have been complaints about the restrictions that come with such deals it seems they are still popular with 4,500 sold daily last year.

Consumers are still warned to make sure they check out all the terms and conditions before they click to buy.
