Sinn Fein says it’ll reveal the details of why its expelled one Cork councillor and suspended another once the appeals process is complete.
The party has so far remained silent on why they took the disciplinary action against Cllrs Kieran McCarthy and Melissa Mullane.
However Deputy Leader Mary-Lou McDonald says she does not believe it has hurt the party's reputation.
The move this week prompted up to 70 of its cumman members in Cobh and Mallow to quit the party.
But Party leader Gerry Adams insists the councillors were treated ‘firmly but fairly’ and were aware the review was taking place:
