SIPTU is demanding that a HIQA review into ambulance response times considers the impact of cutbacks.
The Trade Union's Health Division says recent reports of delays in ambulance call-outs are of huge public concern.
It says the annual budget for the ambulance service in Ireland is 130 million euro - far below the 240 million euro spent in Scotland.

And SIPTU's Health Division Organiser Paul Bell says it's clear cutbacks are having an impact - he wants HIQA to be full and frank in their review.
