Gardaí have arrested six people in a crackdown against organised crime in Waterford.

Three men and three women, aged from their mid-20s to their mid-50s were detained as part of an ongoing intelligence-led operation this morning.

They are being held at various garda stations across Waterford under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.

Today's arrests follow searches carried out earlier this month (June 3rd), in operations involving local gardaí, and their colleagues in the Criminal Assets Bureau, Organised Crime Unit, Air Support and Dog units, and other Regional Support teams.
