Six beaches in north Dublin have been re-opened to the public after heavy rain caused toxic waste to infect the water.
Six of the 12 beaches are now open - but swimming remains banned at Balbriggan, Skerries, Loughshinny, Rush North and South and Portrane.
Rainwater that would normally flow through the sewers and into the waste water treatment works, instead flowed out to sea.

Fingal County Council says the results of testing on the beaches still closed will be available on Saturday.
George Sharpson from the council says they are taking further samples.
