A sixth man has been found guilty of the murder of 42-year-old Thomas Dooley at a graveyard in Kerry two years ago.

Mr Dooley, a father of seven, died after being attacked at Rath Cemetery in Tralee on the 5th of October 2022.

He received several stab and chop wounds during the attack.

Today, the jury at the Central Criminal Court trial in Cork convicted 42-year-old Daniel Dooley of An Carraigin, Connolly Park, Tralee after almost 21 hours of deliberations.

Today’s 11 to 1 majority decision is the sixth murder conviction in the case.

The jury also returned a guilty verdict on 29-year-old Michael Dooley of the Halting Site, Carrigrohane Road Cork on Tuesday. 

The victim’s brother Patrick Dooley (36) of Arbutus Grove, Killarney was found guilty last Friday.

While father and son Thomas Dooley Snr (43) Thomas Dooley Jnr (21) of the Halting Site Carrigrohane Road Cork were convicted the day before, as was a teenager who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Victim impact statements and sentencing will take place next Tuesday July 30th.
