A six year old boy has been seriously injured in a crash in Cork.
It's understood the youngster was struck by a bus in the Dunmanway area of the county.
At about 4 o'clock today a 6 year old boy was seriously injured when he was struck by a bus on the Bantry Road at Tonafora in Dunmanway.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the was youngster transferred to Cork University Hospital by Ambulance.
He remains in hospital this evening where he is said to be in a serious condition.
The road is partially closed to traffic and Garda Forensic Investigators are expected to examine the scene of the crash.
