After the body was recovered, a post-mortem was carried out; however, the results were not released for operational reasons.
A man and a woman were arrested early on in the investigation; however, they were released without charge with a file to be prepared for the DPP.
Yesterday a man in his 30s was re-arrested and questioned at a Garda station in the Northwestern region.
He has now been charged and is due to appear before a special sitting of Ballyshannon District Court at 4pm this afternoon.
