It is reported Gardaí are treating a suspected assault in Co Donegal as a possible murder.
A series of searches have been carried out around Slieve League after reports of an incident last weekend.
Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal for information after three days of searches in the Slieve League/Killybegs area involving members of the force, the Irish Coast Guard and the Donegal Mountain Rescue Team.
A man and woman arrested in connection with an alleged assault on Monday were released without charge on Tuesday night.
The Irish Times reports Gardaí are treating the case as a possible murder, after the discovery of a 'blood-spattered' car which is now being forensically examined.
Any road users who were travelling in the Slieve League/Killybegs area last Saturday or Sunday, and who may have camera footage, are being asked to make it available.
Public access to the tourist spot remains closed and further searches are expected.
