Slieve League in County Donegal remains closed to the public today as Gardaí investigate an alleged assault at the sea cliffs.
The area was closed off all day yesterday as Gardaí and emergency services engaged in what the Irish Coast Guard described as a missing person's search.
This morning, Gardaí said two people had been arrested after an alleged assault in the area over the weekend.
The man in his 30s and woman in her 20s have since been released without charge.
Gardaí said the incident happened between Saturday, 24th June and Sunday, 25th June.
They said public access to the cliffs remains closed off today.
They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information on the incident to come forward.
They are particularly interested in talking to people who were in the area between Saturday evening and Sunday evening and may have camera footage.
The Garda investigation is ongoing.
