Northern Irish band Snow Patrol have been given free rein to play past a noise curfew in London this week.
Gary Lightbody and Co. don’t take to the stage until 11.10pm on Friday, when they play at Hyde Park to coincide with the Olympics’ opening ceremony.
Earlier this month Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney were left annoyed after officials pulled the plug on their London performance at 10.40pm.
