That means if you're in Leinster, Cavan and Monaghan you should expect snow and ice.
Parts of Leinster could get up to 5 centimetres of snow.

Bitterly cold today with frost, ice and snow in some central and eastern counties.
The frost will thaw later, but the day will stay very cold with scattered hail and snow showers, mainly in the east.
A few sunny breaks the best of those in the west. Highest temperatures of 3 to 5 degrees.
