Former solicitor Michael Lynn - who fled Ireland with debts of 80 million Euro - is to be extradited from Brazil.

The country's Supreme Court today approved his extradition after a lengthy legal process.

Mr Lynn is wanted here to face more than 30 charges relating to an alleged 80 million Euro mortgage fraud.

He fled Ireland in 2007 - after failing to turn up for a court hearing.

His family settled in Brazil - where his son was born - and where Mr Lynn was reported to be working as a teacher.
