Kia Motors Europe is set to unveil the manufacturer’s latest concept car at next month’s Geneva Motor Show. The SPORTSPACE, which has been created for long-distance driving, was designed at Kia’s European base in Frankfurt by their Chief European designer, Gregory Guillaume.
Kia tells us that the SPORTSPACE is designed for fast and efficient travel. They say that the concept offers “maximum comfort and minimal stress” and that it is designed to fit four people comfortably. Their aim with the project was to not sacrifice performance, sustainability and economy. The design stays loyal to Kia’s signature “tiger nose” grille and from looking at the photos it’s a stylish and sporty looking vehicle. The side profile of the vehicle wouldn't be too dissimilar to that of a Honda Accord Tourer, but as you advance to the rear or the front you see that it's set well-apart.
“We set out to design a car that is a totally new breed of grand tourer – one for active people who need reasonable cargo space on the weekend, but don’t want to compromise moving around in style, comfort and with an element of sportiness,” explains Gregory Guillaume, Chief Designer Europe.
