Today
Many places will be mostly dry to begin St. Patrick's Day - some bright spells in the east.
However, it will turn wet across Connacht and Ulster, with some heavy bursts and possible localised flooding into the afternoon.
Cool and calm here, with highs of 6 to 10 degrees.
Drier and milder conditions across Leinster and Munster, with patchy light rain and drizzle.
The more persistent rain in the north and west will however gradually extend southeastwards to these areas later too.
Highs of 11 to 14 degrees here, but becoming blustery, in fresh and gusty southwesterly winds.
Tonight
Outbreaks of rain and drizzle continuing into tonight.
Misty in places too, in light or moderate southwest breezes.
Whilst it will become drier, the band of rain and drizzle will linger in the southeast.
Frost will set in under clearer spells. Overnight lows of 0 to 4 degrees, coldest in the north.
Tomorrow
A bright start to Wednesday with sunshine and clearing frost.
Dull and locally wet though in the southeast.
Good sunny spells will develop widely in light westerly breezes - just a few light showers in northwest.
Feeling fresh with afternoon highs of 6 to 8 degrees.
