The chief executive of St. Vincent's Hospital group says he still believes his group is not breaking the pay rules of the Health Service Executive (HSE).
But Nicholas Jermyn says the group is planning changes so that the CEO is paid entirely from private funds.
It is discussing a deal where the CEOs salary would come entirely from profits generated by the St. Vincent's private hospital.
Mr. Jermyn still insists no pay rules are currently being broken.
It was revealed back in December that Mr. Jermyn is paid almost €300,000 a year.
In a letter to the Director-General of the HSE this evening, Mr. Jermyn broke down his salary.
He gets €136,000 from the HSE, and slightly more than that from a privately funded salary - plus a car allowance of €20,000.
The hospital group had come under fire last month for refusing to disclose to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) any top-ups it was paying to senior staff.
