Met Éireann has extended its Status Yellow snow and ice warning to the entire country.
The forecaster said showers of hail, sleet and snow are expected with localized accumulations, especially on high ground.
It said there will be icy stretches on roads and footpaths.
The warning is valid from now until 11am on Sunday.

Meanwhile, a Status Yellow wind warning will remain in place in Donegal until 5pm.
The forecaster is expecting cold and blustery conditions.
It said some showers will have a “wintry mix of hail, sleet and snow, especially on high ground with some thunder.”
Meanwhile scattered outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow will move northward during the afternoon.
Tonight meanwhile, lowest temperatures will range between -3C and 1C with further showers of rain, hail, sleet and snow an ongoing risk of thunder.
