A status yellow wind warning has been issued for the entire country.
Met Éireann is warning of some severe and damaging gusts, as well as heavy spells of rain.
It's valid for all 26 counties until 4pm this afternoon.
Met Éireann says: "Strong and gusty southwest winds will veer westerly early this afternoon with some severe and damaging gusts; heavy squally spells of rain continuing too."

Forecasters say the strong winds are expected to ease this evening, ahead of a 'cold and blustery' night.
The weather is expected to remain "very unsettled" for the rest of the week, with cold, blustery and wet weather being forecast for the coming days.
