British actor Stephen Mangan has said he wants Ireland, and Mayo, to be part of his children's lives.
London-born Mangan, whose parents are both Irish, has said he comes back here every summer to visit family.
The Tony-nominated actor - known for his role in 'Green Wing' - has also played roles in 'The Split', 'I'm Alan Partridge' and 'Postman Pat: The Movie'.
He is also fronting 'Access All Arts' Week on Sky Arts from June 19th.
The week-long celebration of the arts is specially designed for primary schools.
Mangan told The Hard Shoulder Ireland is a special place for him.
"I'll be back in Ireland for a couple of weeks in August, and try and stop working for a bit," he said.
"We'll go back to Belmullet and see the family.
"I spent every summer in Mayo, and both my mum and dad were from there, so we've always had an awful lot of family back there.
"My summer's were basically me wandering from house to house, as my mum talked to a great-aunt or great-uncle and me trying to work out what they were saying.
"This boy brought up in London, and a thick Mayo accent, I just often couldn't understand what was going on.
"It's completely part of my life and I'm bringing my children back every year, because I want them to have the joy that I had."
Asked which beach is his favourite, Mangan said one stands out above the rest for him.
"Elly Bay, I think is my favourite, so apologies to everyone else who owns a beach up there who I haven't mentioned," he laughed.
