A man has died after a tree fell on his car in Donegal today.

At 5.30am, Gardaí were alerted to a serious car accident at Feddyglass, Raphoe, County Donegal during Storm Éowyn, where a tree fell on a car.

The male driver was killed during the incident.

The body of the deceased remains at the scene at this time.

Gardaí are working with local authority and third party contractors to remove the body from the scene and the N14 remains closed.

The forensic collision investigator and divisional scenes of crime have commenced an investigation at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
