There is still some disruption to flights today following on from Storm Isha.
Almost 170 flights were cancelled at Dublin Airport yesterday and 35 flights were diverted to other airports because of strong winds.
While the airport is operational today, there may be changes to some flight schedules.
DAA Media Relations Manager Graeme McQueen told Newstalk Breakfast there will be a knock-on effect.
"It was a hectic day yesterday, we'd about 170 flights cancelled by airlines over the course of Sunday," he said.
"[It's] much improved today, the winds have dropped considerably.
"There is still some disruption today though, a lot of aircraft are out of place on the back of yesterday.
"The planes didn't get back to Dublin in time.
"Today so far we've 29 cancelled flights - but a much better day in store.
"The weather is set to be better so less disruption ahead today".
'Planes would take the chance'
Mr McQueen said it is ultimately up to pilots whether they fly.
"The trouble yesterday was... the wind was coming from a south-westerly direction, which meant they were hitting the sides of the planes when they were coming in," he said.
"The problem was that those winds were very gusty, so for large periods planes could get in and out.
"Planes would take the chance [that they could land in Dublin] - it's up to the pilot really whether they fly.
"The airports were open... so it's up to the pilot: as long as there's a chance they can get in they would tend to fly.
"Most of them did get in yesterday, it was just unfortunate that some of them weren't able to".
Mr McQueen said customers should get in touch with their airline directly.
Passengers should arrive at their terminal two hours before a short-haul flight and three hours before a long-haul flight.
