A status Orange wind warning has been across the country as Storm Isha approaches, with winds of up to 120km/h expected.
Met Éireann has issued an Orange warning in every county from 5pm Sunday, January 21st.
The warning is in place in every county until 2am on Monday, except for Donegal which is under the warning until 5am on Monday.
The forecaster has advised Storm Isha will bring strong southwest winds with "severe and damaging gusts”.
Weather models currently show wind gusts over 90km/h across the country on Sunday, with highs of over 110km/h.
An Orange warning is also in place for Northern Ireland.

Large coastal waves, difficult travelling conditions, fallen trees and damage to power lines are expected.
A status Yellow wind warning is also in place for the entire country from 11am tomorrow to 4am on Monday.
Met Éireann warned there could be debris and loose objects displaced as a result of strong winds.
Meteorologist Alan O’Reilly said there is a risk of over 40mm of rainfall in 24 hours in parts of the west and south of the country.
Joanna Donnelly from Met Éireann has warned people to “hunker down” on Sunday.
“If you have got anything in the garden, if you are responsible for any structure that could be subject to strong winds, tomorrow is the day to really take care of them,” she said.
“If you're off-site and there’s something you work with during the midweek day, you might want to go and check on it – it's going to be a very windy event.”
She said strong winds will arrive around midday.
Storm Isha formed off the coast of North America yesterday and is moving towards the British Isles and Ireland.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather predicted over 50mm of rain is possible over the next few days in the west and southwest of Ireland.
