Some 29,000 homes and businesses are without power this morning due to the combined effects of Storms Jocelyn and Isha.
ESB Networks said all available resources have been deployed in counties Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Longford, Mayo and Sligo.
This includes crews and partner contractors who have travelled from less impacted areas of the country.
Some customers could be without power 'for a number of days', the utility said.
"We apologise for the disruption to family and commercial life this causes, and thank customers across the country, especially those who will be without power again overnight, for their patience as our crews work to safely restore power," a statement added.
All weather alerts associated with the storm have expired, except for a Yellow wind warning in Northern Ireland.
