The country is braced for yet another storm as Storm Jocelyn approaches.
As the clear-up continues after Storm Isha, Met Éireann has issued status Orange wind warnings for Donegal, Galway and Mayo from 6pm this evening.
Impacts are likely to include large coastal waves, very difficult travelling conditions, fallen trees, damage to power lines and damage to "already weakened structures."
The rest of the country will be subject to various other Yellow warnings that will come into effect between midday and 5pm.
These could result in large coastal waves, difficult travelling condition and loose objects becoming displaced.
Power restoration
Meanwhile ESB crews are still working to restore power following the impact of Storm Isha.
Approximately 167,000 homes and businesses have had their power restored and 68,000 remain without power.
Crews continued to work "into the night" to restore power to as many customers as possible, the utility said.
It warned that some customers could be without power "for a number of days" as operations continue.
ESB Networks said warnings associated with Storm Jocelyn "may hamper restoration efforts in areas already most affected by Storm Isha".
"It is important that any impacted customers who use electrically powered medical devices contact their healthcare professional to make alternative arrangements if necessary," the ESB said in a statement.
"We apologise for the disruption to family and commercial life this causes, and thank customers across the country, especially those who will be without power overnight, for their patience as our crews work to safely restore power," it added.
There will be widespread rain during this morning and afternoon, followed by scattered showers in the evening.
Strong winds will continue for a time tonight, with very strong and gusty southwest to west wind easing overnight.
It'll be mainly dry tomorrow with sunny spells; showers will be isolated in the west and north.
