The planned strike action by junior doctors for next Wednesday has been postponed - following a breakthrough at Labour Relation talks.

The Irish Medical Organisation says a proposal to end the dispute on excessive working hours, has been tabled and will now be considered by its members.
However, the union warns that if the proposals are not acceptable - strike action will proceed on October 2nd.
Junior doctors say the excessive hours which they're currently forced to work - are in breach of an EU Directive of a 48 hour working week.
