A high school student has been charged with plotting to bomb and shoot pupils, on the same day as the massacre at an elementary school in Connecticut.

18-year-old Sammie Chavez from Bartlesville in Oklahoma even threatened to kill other students who refused to help him carry out the attack.

He never managed to carry out his threats, and is being held in custody.
