First time Mums make an average of 16 trips to the doctors in their child's first year.

That's according to some research that also reveals one in 10 mothers believe their baby is unconscious - only to be told he or she was asleep.

The study found it took a new mother about six and a half months to get used to her child's different cries and coughs without panicking each time.
