Sinn Féin support rises while government parties lose ground
Support for Sinn Féin has climbed by five per cent in the latest Red C opinion poll, published in the Sunday Business Post.
It more than makes up for the four points the party lost a month ago, after allegations of an IRA cover-up of the abuse of Paudie McGahon.
Sinn Féin now boasts 22 per cent support, just three behind Fine Gael at 25 per cent.
Karen Buckley's body has been flown home to Cork
Two weeks on from her murder, Karen Buckley has made her final journey home.
The remains of the 24-year-old arrived in Cork from Glasgow by a special Aer Lingus flight this afternoon.
In a gesture of support, the airline is understood to have paid for the bulk of the repatriation costs for the family.
Government criticised over possible public sector pay rise
The Government is being criticised over a possible increase in public sector wages.
Sinn Féin says the Government should improve public services and get rid of the water charge, instead of bringing in pay hikes for 290,000 public sector workers.
According to the Sunday Independent, the pay sanctions are expected to be approved before the Dáil breaks for the summer, prompting accusations of 'vote-buying.'

The fortunes of Ireland's wealthiest have reached record levels according to the 2015 Sunday Times Rich List.
It shows the combined wealth of the richest 250 people is up by 15.9% since last year.
The total wealth of the 250 richest individuals and families across Ireland is now €75.03bn - up 13.4% on 2008, at the end of the Celtic Tiger boom.
