A dry but rather misty or foggy start will slowly clear this morning.

Many areas will hold dry albeit dull for daylight hours, though rain will slowly move into Munster.

Later in the evening, rain will move up into parts of Connacht and Leinster, along with freshening southeasterly breezes.

Highest temperatures of 7C to 10C.

TONIGHT

There will be some scattered outbreaks of rain tonight with some heavy bursts across southern counties.

Misty and locally foggy conditions are expected in mostly moderate easterly breezes.

Lowest temperatures 5C to 8C.
